THE BRONX — A man arrested for a brutal attack on a 15-year-old girl last week beat her after she refused to touch him, breaking her teeth and jaw and causing her to fall into the Bronx River, court documents reveal.

Shaun Lewis, 27, was arrested on Oct. 28 for the attack which took place four days earlier, when he met the victim in the Gun Hill Road subway station at about 4:40 a.m. and walked with her to Bronx Park before attacking her, police said.

Lewis was walking with the victim near East 213th Street and Bronx Boulevard when he took out his penis and told the teen to touch it, according to a criminal complaint. When she refused, he repeatedly punched her in the face, and choked her until she lost consciousness, the complaint says.

She then awoke a few moments later to Lewis kicking her face and head, and then he slammed her face into a tree, prosecutors said. She also realized that her pants and underwear had been removed, according to the complaint.

At some point during the attack, the 15-year-old fell into the Bronx River, and although Lewis demanded she come out of the water, when she looked away and looked back, he was gone, according to prosecutors.

The unidentified victim suffered a broken jaw, missing teeth and several bruises from the attack, police said.

He was charged with assault and attempted rape. He was ordered held without bail pending his next court date on Nov. 3, according to the Bronx District Attorney's Office.

He was also charged for a robbery for stealing a woman's cellphone on April 21, according to court documents.

He was out on parole for another robbery of a woman in 2009, according to the Bronx DA's Office.
