NYPD Detective Threatens to Shoot Boyfriend During Fight, Police Say

By Katie Honan | September 7, 2016 5:11pm

ROCKAWAY BEACH — An NYPD detective was arrested Thursday after threatening to shoot her boyfriend during a fight, police said.

Rosalyn Rosahamdja, 35, and her boyfriend were arguing early Thursday morning at their home within the 100th Precinct when she followed him into a bedroom and threatened to shoot him, police said.

She then told him "get the hell out of here," before breaking a TV with her gun, according the police. It's not clear how she broke the TV, but she did cause $250 worth of damage, police said.

Rosahamdja was charged with criminal mischief, menacing and harassment, police said.

A spokeswoman with the NYPD said she did not know how long Rosahamdja has been on the force, or which precinct she works out of.

She was expected to be arraigned Wednesday evening, according to the DA's office.
