WILLIAMSBURG — A pair of teens followed three young boys into their home after they'd gotten off the school bus and snatched the yarmulkes from their heads, according to police.

The three brothers — age 8, 7 and 5 years old — got dropped off by a school bus outside their Clymer Street home just before 6 p.m. on Aug. 29 and went inside, not realizing they were being followed by two thieves, one of whom was described as a 13 year-old-girl.

The pair grabbed the three boys' yarmulkes and darted off, police said. Each is worth $15, according to police.

Their father later reported the incident to police and hate crimes investigators were notified of the incident, police said.
