CENTRAL HARLEM — The angels are sprouting their wings and flying uptown.

Victoria’s Secret is joining Bath and Body Works to each open their first outposts in Harlem by the end of the year.

This is the first Uptown location for both stores, which are owned by L Brands. The forthcoming shops will be located at the 112 W. 125 St. shopping center currently housing a new Olive Garden restaurant and a planned Whole Foods set to open this summer.

“This is a great addition to the retail landscape and this is a name everyone knows,” said Faith Hope Consolo of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, speaking about retail trends in the neighborhood. “They have a lot of untapped spending in Harlem, and it’s going to bring a lot of new income into the area.”

Abe Feldman of Rockfeld Group arranged the deal and is developing the shopping space, which will be approximately 36,000 square feet, according to The New York Post.

A representative from L Brands did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
