CRIME BLOTTER: Woman Found Asleep in Stranger's Car Arrested on Carroll St.

CROWN HEIGHTS — A 45-year-old woman was arrested this week after she was found sleeping in a stranger’s car on Carroll Street, police said.

The 57-year-old owner of the vehicle found the woman sleeping in his Volvo sedan just before 6:30 a.m. Monday morning on Carroll Street between New York and Brooklyn avenues.

The woman was found to be carrying a crack pipe when she was arrested, police said.

► A 46-year-old woman reported that a bullet broke the front window of her apartment on Fenimore Street between Rogers and Nostrand avenues around 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 23. No one was injured, police said.

► A 48-year-old man was shot outside of 304 Troy Ave. near Eastern Parkway around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 26. Officers found him on the sidewalk with non-fatal injuries. He was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment.

► A 20-year-old man said two men assaulted and robbed him for his car keys and cash. The man was attacked outside of 825 Crown St. between Utica and Rochester avenues at about 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 25. The suspects punched him, pushed him to the ground and took his car keys and about $350 in cash.

► A 31-year-old man reported his collection of designer sneakers, belts and cologne were stolen from an Empire Boulevard storage unit. The man visited the unit at 200 Empire Blvd. between Bedford and Rogers avenues at 4 p.m. on Aug. 27 to discover his Yeezy, Nike, Louis Vuitton and Jordan sneakers were gone, along with Gucci belts and Tom Ford cologne. In total, the man was robbed of about $5,100 in property.

► A 26-year-old man was arrested on Aug. 30 for assaulting and robbing a Chinese food deliveryman. The 20-year-old worker was taking an order to 901 Washington Ave. when the robber pushed him to the ground and took the food and cash. Police caught up with the robber and arrested him a short time later. The deliveryman was not injured in the assault.
