CROWN HEIGHTS — A man was fatally shot on Prospect Place over the weekend, police said.

Police responded to a call of a man shot outside of 1333 Prospect Pl. between Schenectady and Utica avenues at 3:41 a.m. Sunday morning, police said. There, officers found the 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

The man was taken to Interfaith Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has not yet been identified by police, and there have not yet been any suspects identified in the shooting.

The killing is the fourth in the area this summer.

Earlier this month, a 30-year-old man was shot and killed on St. Marks Avenue about four blocks from Sunday's shooting.

On Aug. 11, a 35-year-old man was shot and killed on Dean Street near Thomas S. Boyland Street.

And in late June, 21-year-old Miguel Zuniga was fatally shot in the head inside the lobby of a building in the Kingsborough Houses, located about five blocks from the most recent homicide.
