11-Year-Old Boy Hit With Glass Bottle Thrown From Apartment, Police Say

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — An 11-year-old boy was hit in the head with a glass bottle of Snapple as he walked along Flatbush Avenue with his grandmother on Aug. 22, the police said.

The pair were walking near Lincoln Road around 1:20 p.m. when someone threw the bottle out of a window in a large apartment building, 50 Lincoln Rd., which hit the boy in the head.

Immediately afterwards, the grandmother told police someone from the building shouted “That’s right little boy.” It’s unclear if the boy was specifically targeted.

The 11-year-old suffered no serious injuries and no suspects have been identified in the incident, police said.
