Pizza, Cash and Banana Pudding Stolen from 5 Delivery Men, NYPD Says

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are searching for two young men suspected in a series of forcible robberies of local delivery men who were robbed of food, cash, cell phones, wallets and, in one case, a motorized bicycle within a two-week span in Crown Heights.

The pair first struck on July 26 on St. Marks Avenue between Rochester and Buffalo avenues, police said, where they sprayed a 17-year-old food delivery man in the face with an unknown chemical and then stole his food order of chicken sandwiches, cheeseburgers, pizza, soda, ice cream and banana pudding.

Five days later, a single suspect targeted a 22-year-old food delivery man on the corner of New York Avenue and Pacific Street just before 6:00 p.m., pushing him off his motorized bicycle — valued at $1,450, police said — and driving off with it.

On Aug. 1, another delivery man was taking an order to 1752 Dean St. near Utica Avenue when a group of four young men pushed him to the ground and took his Samsung Note 3 cell phone and $300 in cash, police said.

Just before 10:00 p.m. four days later, a 27-year-old delivery man bringing an order to 1493 Prospect Pl. near Rochester Avenue was put into a headlock by an unknown suspect while a second person removed his iPhone and wallet containing $150 in cash.

The next day at 4:10 p.m., a 28-year-old delivery man was taking seven boxes of pizza to 1752 Dean St. — the location of the Aug. 1 robbery — when he was grabbed around the neck by a male suspect while another took the pizza boxes and his wallet, which contained $160 in cash.

On Thursday, the NYPD released footage of the two suspects from the most recent incident, taken from surveillance video just before the robbery.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, (888) 57-PISTA (74782).
