FAR ROCKAWAY — A woman was arrested Monday after she tried to grab a 4-year-old girl in a park on Saturday, police said.
Tawana Blount, 41, allegedly approached a 4-year-old girl inside a park at Westbourne and Mott avenues, which is attached to P.S. 104, at around 10 a.m. Saturday, police said.
She grabbed the girl under her arm and said, "come here," before the girl's mother yelled for her to get away, according to the NYPD.
Blount was arrested Monday night on Dickens Street near the park and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. She is awaiting arraignment in Queens criminal court.
