THE BRONX — A drunk driver crashed his car into another vehicle Saturday evening in Co-op City and critically injured the other driver, police said.

Cory Jordan, 35, was traveling northbound on Baychester Avenue around 8:40 p.m. when he rear-ended a car driven by a 31-year-old woman heading in the same direction, police said.

Emergency responders found the woman unconscious and unresponsive in the driver's seat. Her passenger, a 24-year-old male, was conscious and alert and sustained minor head injuries, police said.

Both were transported to Jacobi Hospital where the woman is listed in critical condition, according to police.

Police arrested Jordan on a slew of charges, including reckless endangerment, reckless driving, drunk driving and criminal possession of marijuana. Police said he sustained minor injuries and had a .08 blood alcohol content, above the legal limit for driving, when he was arrested.
