PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — A 20-year-old man was arrested this week for stealing a beef patty, soda and $16.50 by gunpoint from a neighborhood Caribbean restaurant, police said.

The man entered Errol’s Caribbean Bakery at 661 Flatbush Ave. at Hawthorne Street around 9:25 a.m. on July 23 and asked a 17-year-old worker for the food and beverage, police said.

The suspect then told the teen “if you don’t serve me, I’m going to shoot you,” and flashed a black handgun tucked into his waistband, according to the police report.

The suspect put a $20 counterfeit bill on the counter and the worker gave him a D&G Champagne Kola soda, a beef patty and $16.50 in change from the fake money, police said.

The man was arrested a short time later and faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, court records show. He is being held on $5,000 bail.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said.
