WILLIAMSBRIDGE — Police have arrested a man for the murder of a Bronx woman who was found dead in her home early on Wednesday morning.

Sheldon Salmon, 35, was arrested Thursday in the murder of Sarisse Respass, 32, who was found dead around 7 a.m. on Wednesday inside the home they shared on White Plains Rd. near 223rd Street.

Salmon shot Respass in the mouth, according to his criminal complaint. Initial reports put forward conflicting causes of death, including blunt force trauma to the head.

Salmon's relationship with Respass was not immediately clear, police said. He was arraigned Thursday on charges of murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon and was ordered held without bail, according to court records. He is due back in court on June 21.

Salmon has two prior arrests, but both are sealed, according to the NYPD.
