Located in the former Kinsale Tavern, The Weir is an Irish pub and restaurant that still aims to be the place where neighbors come to watch the game, get a bite to eat or enjoy a cold drink. The menu has small plates, from seafood paté to croquettes and Weir wings, large plates like a grilled lamb steak, a burger or confit chicken, and a number of sandwiches, oyster plates and salads. It also serves a mean breakfast. The Weir also has a long beer list, bottles and from the tap, and a slew of cocktails and wines.

This steampunk-themed cocktail bar had a soft opening at its new Nostrand Avenue space last week, bringing refreshing drinks and treats to the avenue. A menu of gastropub-esque snacks and desserts are coming down the pike, as well, owners said.

This new DeKalb Avenue spot serves up mixed Desi-style Chinese and Desi cuisine, according to Bombay Xpress’ website. Try vegetarian dishes like banana pakora (deep fried banana fritters) or potato cakes with chutney. Other selections on the menu include lamb or seafood curry specials and tandoori BBQ. There’s ample seating outdoors in their backyard space, and you can take advantage of their BYOB policy.
