► 'Bring a Weasel' Theater Festival

Where: JACK, 505 Waverly Ave., Clinton Hill
When: Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m.; Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Each year, three Brooklyn College playwrights present their own adaptations of the same source material in the "Bring a Weasel and a Pint of Your Own Blood" theater festival, performing together on the same night. This year, John Budge, Zarina Shea and Heloise Wilson take on Maxim Gorki's Reminiscences of Tolstoy, Chekhov, and Andreev. Tickets are $18 and $15 for students.

Friday, March 18

► Opening Reception for 'The Art of HERstory: Dreaming While Awake'

Where: Skylight Gallery, 1368 Fulton St., and Welancora Gallery, 33 Herkimer St., Bedford-Stuyvesant
When: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Art of HERstory exhibition showcases the evolution of women through the African Diaspora, aiming to spark an intergenerational dialogue. The opening reception will be held at two gallery locations, with wine and hors d'oeuvres.

Conversation with Fran Lebowitz & Frank Rich

Where: BAM Peter Jay Sharpe Building, 30 Lafayette Ave., Fort Greene
When: 8 p.m.

Beloved cultural satirist Fran Lebowitz and journalist Frank Rich take on everything from race and gender to culture and politics in a hour-and-a-half-long discussion at BAM. Tickets start at $35.

► Orb Mellon Trio at Dinosaur Bar B Que    

Where: Dinosaur Bar B Que, 604 Union St., Gowanus
When: 10 p.m.

Chow down on ribs and other barbecue staples as you take in some live music by Orb Mellon Trio, the blues act featuring Mike Malone of the 1990s band Dirt Merchants.

Saturday, March 19

► Deed Fraud and Property Theft Panel

Where: Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, 1368 Fulton St., Bedford-Stuyvesant
When: 10 a.m.

A panel of experts will address property theft and deed fraud throughout central Brooklyn during this free event, with residents encouraged to share their stories and learn how community organizations are raising awareness and fighting back.

 Community Health Fair at Friendship Baptist Church

Where: Friendship Baptist Church, 92 Herkimer St., Bedford-Stuyvesant
When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Get free testings and screenings at Friendship Baptist Church’s health fair, held in partnership with the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS and the NYC Council of Faith-Based HIV/AIDS Initiative. Resources include guest speakers on healthy eating, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, as well as HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C testings.

► Bunny Hop in the BID

Where: Marcy Plaza, Marcy Avenue and Fulton Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant
When: 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Take your photo with the Easter Bunny, grab some free treats, get your face painted, and support local businesses in the Bed-Stuy Gateway BID at this weekend’s “Bunny Hop.” Neighborhood stores will be offering discounts for seniors, with some handing out giveaways.

► Low Tide Artist Walk with Matthew Jensen

Where: 99 Plymouth St., Brooklyn Bridge Park, DUMBO
When: 12:30 p.m.

During the walk, the group will collect objects like flora and artifacts found along the shore in connection with Jensen’s exhibit, "The Wonder Under," that’s currently on view in the park. Known as a “collection-building walk,” Jensen will discuss his work along the walk. At the end, the group will help arrange the objects they have picked up and Jensen will photograph them. ► “Gowanus Waters” Book Launch and Exhibit

Where: Gowanus Souvenir Shop, 543 Union St., Gowanus
When: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Hear photographer Steven Hirsch talk about taking pictures of the yucky Gowanus Canal and the surprisingly beautiful images that he created in the process.

► Creative Sensory Playdate

Where: Sensory Street Pediatric, 703 Flatbush Ave., Prospect-Lefferts Gardens
When: 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Kids can enjoy sensory gym exploration, movement, story time and a "tactile project" to take home at this kids-only event co-sponsored by the local family support group Creating Legacies. Tickets are $25 per child.

► BackFat Variety’s March Madness Joke Contest

Where: 61 Local, 61 Bergen St., Boerum Hill
When: 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This March Madness joke-off is the perfect way to keep up with the tournament without actually having to watch any of the games. Sixty-four comedians will compete at 61 Local, followed by more standup comedy from BackFat Variety. No tickets are required, but there’s a $10 suggested donation that will go to Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue.

Sunday, March 20

Opening Day at Coney Island

Where: Luna Park, 1000 Surf Ave., Coney Island
When: 11:30 a.m.

Get the first thrills of the season. Organizers said the park is still set to open despite a forecast of snow. While a ceremony and free Cyclone rides will be moved to March 26, those willing to go out to the park should still be able to enjoy some rides.

► ‘Bach in the Heights’ Concert

Where: Zion German Evangelical Lutheran Church, 125 Henry St., Brooklyn Heights
When: 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“Bach in the Heights” will feature singers and musicians who will perform the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, conducted by local resident Edward Houser. Tickets are priced at $16 for general admission tickets in advance or $20 at the door.
