BROOKLYN — Luna Park is still set to open on Sunday despite an expected snowstorm, but a ceremony and free Cyclone rides will be moved to the Saturday after, according to a statement from the park.
“Our mission is to provide the most enjoyable, fun and safe experience for Luna Park’s patrons," the statement reads.
"With the impending Nor’easter, and the snow it is expected to bring to our area, we did not feel we could fulfill this goal by having our 2016 ceremony this Sunday."
Those willing to rough frigid temperatures on the first day of spring will be able to enjoy the Coney Island park rides.
But offers of free spins on the rollercoaster and a complimentary egg cream from the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys have been pushed back to March 26.
@Brokelyn We're still scheduled to open but the ceremony part of Opening Day (Press Conference, 1st 100 Free on @TheCyclone) is on 3/26.
