BROOKLYN — Police continue to search for an American flag-clad man who randomly slashed a woman across the jaw in Prospect Park South Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The man, who wore an American flag over his face and can be seen in police video, came up behind a 53-year-old woman outside 1304 Beverly Rd., near Argyle Road, about 9:48 a.m. and slashed her face, NYPD officials said.

Passersby rushed to her aid, they said.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at Maimonides Medical Center, officials said.
The suspect dropped his kitchen knife and bandana at the scene, but fled and hadn't been arrested as of Friday morning, officials said.
The NYPD offered $2,500 for information about the attack.
The Thursday attack came just four days after a 14-year-old was randomly stabbed just down the street.
