MANHATTAN — A fashion-forward robber stole thousands of dollars from a Murray Hill bank in an afternoon heist on Tuesday, according to a police report.

The man, who was seen wearing all black, a scarf, hat and sunglasses, walked into the Santander bank at 250 Lexington Ave. between 34th and 35th streets at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, officials said.

The suspect handed tellers a note demanding money and managed to flee with more than $2,000, a police spokeswoman said.

A representative of the bank did not reply to a request for comment.
