MIDTOWN EAST— A bicyclist was injured after swerving to avoid a taxi and then crashing into a box truck on Second Avenue, the NYPD said.

The 37-year-old man was riding southbound between East 49th and 50th streets when he collided with the truck around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, according to police and FDNY officials.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, authorities said.

The box truck driver remained on scene and was not expected to be charged, police said.
