WILLIAMSBURG — A thief stole $6,400 worth of electronics and cash from a hard-partying neighborhood man who had passed out on the floor of his apartment with the door open, according to local police.

The man, whose age was not released, had been out drinking and returned to his home on Meserole Street at around 4 a.m. on Feb. 25 where he continued the fun with some people in a neighboring apartment, according to police.

At some point the man blacked out and when he came to at 6 a.m. on his apartment floor, he found his was ajar.

But the man drifted back to sleep for several hours. He woke up at 3 p.m. and realized that his computer, iPad and $4,000 cash were missing.

The man passed out a third time, he told police, woke at 7 p.m. and reported the theft.

None of the valuables were recovered and no arrests had been made as of Wednesday.
