BROOKLYN — The owner of an East New York house found human remains on the second floor of the residence Monday after purchasing the building at auction, police said.
The home at 745 Barbey St. was vacant for about 10 years before it was bought, an NYPD spokesman said. The new homeowner then found the human skeletal remains while walking through the building Monday afternoon.
The identity of the person was not immediately know, police said. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
