CORONA — Police said they have arrested a 29-year-old man who allegedly groped a 10-year-old girl and tried to touch a 17-year-old girl earlier this month.

Luis Ramon Bencosme, of East Elmhurst, was arrested this weekend and charged with sex abuse, attempted forcible touching and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

He touched a 10-year-old girl around 3 p.m. on Feb. 23 near 37th Avenue and 99th Street, then fled, police said.

Days earlier he tried to touch a 17-year-old girl on her butt on 92nd Street and 35th Avenue on Feb. 17, but she ran away, according to police.
