CRIME BLOTTER: Man Busted Buying Viagra Pills on Clarkson Avenue

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — Police arrested two men caught in the act of buying and selling illegally-obtained Viagra on Clarkson Avenue last week.

Officers observed the seller, a 64-year-old man, giving three of the erectile dysfunction pills to a 50-year-old customer outside of 19 Clarkson Ave. in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens around 4:00 p.m. on Jan. 21, police said.

The three pills cost the buyer $35 in total, according to a police report. Officers found the seller had a bottle of Viagra that was prescribed to a stranger.

Both men were arrested for illegally buying and selling prescription medication.

► A 54-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man told police they were both shot around 1651 Carroll St. near Utica Avenue around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 25. The woman was walking on the sidewalk outside of the building when she was shot in the left knee. At the same time, the 29-year-old man told police he heard four shots as he stood outside the building and felt pain on the right side of his torso; he was treated at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center for a graze wound. Police recovered four 9MM shell casings at the scene of the shooting.

► A 34-year-old bodega worker was threatened with a knife by a man who stole a “Cup-o-Noodle” soup from his store in retaliation for not being given change, he told police. The incident took place at 1188 President St. on Jan. 25.

► A 10-year-old boy was robbed on Albany Avenue as he walked home, police said. The boy was between Maple and Midwood streets around 3:00 p.m. on Jan. 25 when the suspect came up behind him, pushed him to the ground and grabbed his backpack containing his glasses, sweater, house keys, cellphone and books. The robber fled on foot.

► A man living at 295 Hawthorne St. reported that his apartment was broken into between 8:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 20. The suspects took $2,000 in property, including headphones, speakers, an Xbox, laptop and a “Star Wars: Battlefront” video game, police said.

► A 19-year-old man was arrested at Kings County Hospital for exposing his genitals to a 42-year-old woman in an elevator at the medical facility. She told police she was riding in the elevator around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 22 when the man got into the compartment, then showed her his private parts. She reported the incident immediately and the man was arrested a short time later, police said.
