Police Search for Suspect in Fatal Far Rockaway Apartment Shooting

QUEENS — A Far Rockaway man killed his girlfriend in a jealous rage and wounded the mother of his romantic rival Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Tyquan Long, 29, who believed his girlfriend was cheating on him and went to her apartment at 333 Beach 32nd St. intending to shoot the other man, law enforcement sources said.

Instead, Long shot and killed the 36-year-old woman, police said. 

She was declared dead at the scene, according to the NYPD. 

Long also shot the 51-year-old mother of the rival love interest in the hand, law enforcement sources said.

The 51-year-old victim was taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
