CARROLL GARDENS — A woman chasing a thief who'd just snatched her money called 911 and had officers help her catch the man, police said.
The woman saw the pickpocket take $80 from her in Carroll Gardens and gave chase, police said.
He'd reached into the woman's jacket pocket on Jan. 21 around 1:50 p.m. on Court Street near Fourth Place, according to the police report.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man about 10 minutes later on Court Street. He was charged with grand larceny.
Other notable crimes in the 76th Precinct, according to police, include:
► The car hood of a 2010 BMW parked on Clinton Street, owned by an 82-year-old man, was stolen Friday night during the blizzard that hit New York. The hood was valued at $500.
► A $500 bicycle and a pink child's bike seat worth $250 was stolen from in front of CVS at Pacific and Court streets on Jan. 21 between 2:55 p.m. and 3 p.m. The bike was chained to a nearby rack.
► A 49-year-old woman walking with a cane was attacked by two other women near Smith and West 9th streets on Jan. 20 around 10:30 a.m., police said.
The two female attackers yanked the victim's cane and pulled her hair before she fell to the ground. The women then punched and hit the victim's face and head, according to the police report.
"I told you not to talk to my girl," one of the women told the victim, who she knew, police said.
The two women — one 37 and the other 40 — ran away with a $10 pocketbook, a set of keys and some papers, but were later arrested. The 37-year-old woman was charged with robbery, petit larceny, assault, criminal possession of stolen property and harassment. The 40-year-old woman was charged with assault and harassment.
