ARVERNE — An angry woman attacked a mom dropping her child off at school, claiming the parent had slept with her "man," police and sources said.
The 50-year-old victim was speaking with a friend in front of P.S 42 on Beach 66th Street at 8:20 a.m Thursday when another woman approached her and started throwing punches, according to the NYPD.
The attacker kicked and punched the woman repeatedly in her face and body before fleeing in a four-door sedan, police said.
The victim was taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway with head pain and a nosebleed, according to police.
Sources said the victim and suspect know each other — and the beatdown stems from allegations that the victim slept with the other woman's husband or boyfriend. Their marital status was unclear.
The NYPD is still investigating the assault.
