ELMHURST — A driver who killed two pedestrians on Queens Boulevard after losing control of his sports car has been sentenced to nine years in prison, according to the Queens DA.

Leonid Redko, from Rego Park, was speeding his 2014 yellow Chevy Camaro along the service road of Queens Boulevard on Nov. 22, 2013 when he lost control, officials said.

His spinning car hit a phone kiosk and a lampost before it jumped the curb, running over Man Chit Cheng, 59, and Wang Mu Lin, 41, as they walked to work, police said.

Investigators, using data from the car, found the 24-year-old driver was going around 111 m.p.h — well over the 30 miles per hour limit at the time.

He told investigators he was only going 50 or 60 miles per hour, according to the criminal complaint.

Redko pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter in October and a judge sentenced him to nine years in prison earlier this week.
