Knife-Wielding Man Threatens Teen Girl on Smith Street Train Platform: NYPD

CARROLL GARDENS — A man threatened a 19-year-old with a knife in the Smith-Ninth Street subway station this past weekend, police said.

Police are searching for the suspect who approached the teen and displayed a knife to her on the F/G train platform roughly 5 a.m. on Nov. 1.

The suspect then fled the scene. Authorities have released photos of the man wanted in the incident.

Police described the suspect as a 25- to 30-year-old man with braids, standing roughly 5-foot-4 and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen in a black vest, gray sweater with white stripes, black jeans and red sneakers. 

Last month, a 41-year-old woman was beaten and almost robbed of her cellphone on the Smith Street train platform.
