BROOKLYN — Burglars continue targeting local bars in a spree that has hit one Brooklyn beer garden for the second time since August.

Police are hunting for burglars who stole a safe holding roughly $20,000 from Greenwood Park, a bar at 555 7th Ave. on Oct. 28 around 2 a.m., authorities said Wednesday.

The popular beer garden had been previously burglarized on Aug. 22 when thieves made off with a safe containing $24,450, police said.

According to officials, the break-ins are part of a burglary pattern that's hit two other bars in Red Hook and Park Slope in August and October.

Thieves broke into Bar Toto on 11th Street and Sixth Avenue with a crowbar and took $1,500 from the cash register on Aug. 22.

On Oct. 18, $7,000 in cash, electronics worth $2,600 and a $500 safe were stolen Red Hook's Brooklyn Crab. Authorities previously said the bar lost $36,000 in cash.

While police had earlier said an Aug. 18 break-in at Cafe Dada was connected to the spree, it has since been removed from the pattern.
