PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — An order of assault with a side of batter-dipped chicken, please.

A group of men punched a 22-year-old man and robbed him before using his debit card to order food at a Popeye’s restaurant last week, police said.

Four men approached the victim at the corner of New York Avenue and Hawthorne Street around 3:50 p.m. on Oct 23, attacked him and went through his pockets.

The group took his iPhone 6 and wallet, which contained $10, a driver’s permit and various credit and debit cards.

Police later found one of the 22-year-old’s debit cards had been used at a nearby Popeye’s restaurant around 4:30 p.m., just a half hour after the attack.

The man suffered minor injuries, police said. No suspects have yet been identified in the incident and no arrests have been made.

An inquiry made to the Popeye’s fast food chain about the robbery was not returned.

This incident is part of DNAinfo’s weekly crime blotter from reports made to the 71st Precinct in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and Crown Heights. Read the full blotter here.
