CORONA — Chicago’s transit agency is holding up its end of a bet wagered before the Mets swept the Cubs on their way to the World Series.

The Chicago Transit Authority is sending 40 deep-dish pizzas from Uno Grill in Bayside to the Corona Family Shelter as part of a bet made on Twitter.

The Bayside location of the Chicago standard will offer an authentic taste of Chicago for around 50 families at the shelter, according to the CTA.

“Though the Cubs fell short, we wanted to demonstrate Chicago pride through a kind gesture,” CTA spokesman Jeff Tolman said.

The Mets swept the Cubs to reach the World Series for the first time since 2000.

They play the Royals Friday at Citi Field for Game three of the series — a must-win for the team who are down two games to none.
