CROWN HEIGHTS — A man's car was stolen after he left it attended with the keys in the ignition, but was able to track it down thanks to a built-in GPS system, police said.

The 30-year-old Crown Heights man told police he left his 2013 Kia Optima sedan parked, running and unlocked outside of 665 Crown St. between Troy and Schenectady avenues around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 26.

As he returned to the car, he saw two men get into it and drive away, he told police.

The man then activated the GPS system in the vehicle and followed the signal to Nostrand Avenue and Fenimore Street where he saw the two men driving his car.

He then called 911 and responding officers arrested the pair. The two 18-years-olds were charged with grand larceny in the third degree, among other counts, court records show.
