MANHATTAN

Shipping and Receiving, 333 W. 33rd St., Chelsea
Open Since: Late August, Closing end of October
Type of Cuisine: Food trucks, assorted, depending on day/time.

Looking for a break from your bland midtown lunch options? A old shipping dock-turned-food truck garden offers a rotating schedule of food trucks who pop in with options like Carl’s Steaks, La Belle Torte, Chef Samir’s and NY Lobster Club. You can plan your lunchtime accordingly with the full schedule on their website. You have until the end of October to check out Shipping and Receiving before it closes for the season.

Shipping and Receiving is open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Poulette, 426 Amsterdam Ave., between 80th and 81st St., Upper West Side: August 25
Open Since: Aug. 25
Type of Cuisine: French

This small roughly 20-seat spot specializes in French-style rotisserie chicken that’s antibiotic and hormone free. Diners can have their chicken on a sandwich, in a salad or alongside a slew of healthy sides, including string beans or kale and quinoa. If you don’t want to dine in and enjoy their BYOB policy, you can pick up a whole, half or quarter of a roast chicken to go, or get it delivered.

Cafe Bustelo Pop-Up Cafe Experience, 168 Bowery, Little Italy

Type of Cuisine: Coffee

Cafe Bustelo is offering free cups of espresso as well as a regular and decaf coffees at its new pop-up shop opening Tuesday. In addition to coffee, the space will feature a photobooth, charging stations and live performances by Janelle Kroll at 2 p.m. on Oct. 24 and by Jukebox The Ghost at 2 p.m. the next day.

Chaiwali, 274 Lenox Ave., Harlem

Type of Cuisine: Indian

This Indian restaurant gives customers free Chai tea every Tuesday when they spend more than $5. It is opened for breakfast and lunch during the week and it stays open for dinner on the weekends.

► Calexico, 1491 Second Ave. at E. 78th St., Upper East Side
Open Since: Oct. 15
Type of Cuisine: Mexican/Southwestern

The brothers who brought won the Vendy Award for Best Street Food in New York City in 2008 for their Calexico food carts have opened their fifth brick-and-mortar restaurant in the city this week. Calexico serves dishes like its gringo taco, carne fries and a selection of rolled quesadillas. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Dimes Deli, 143 Division St, Lower East Side
Open Since: Sept. 30
Type of Cuisine: Healthy sandwiches and salads

Dimes Deli — an offshoot of the hip Canal Street restaurant Dimes — offers healthy, grab and go sandwiches, salads and snacks as well as coffee and tea.

Pizza Beach, 167 Orchard St., Lower East Side
Open Since: Oct. 19

Pizza Beach serves Neopolitan-style pies as well as seasonal salads, vegetable dishes and entrees whipped up by chef Eric Kleinman, formerly of ‘inoteca.

Luke’s Lobster, 5 W. 25th St. between Broadway and Sixth Ave., Flatiron
Open Since:
Oct. 5
Type of Cuisine: Seafood

Luke’s Lobster offers lobster rolls crab rolls, and other sea fare sourced directly from the company’s processing operation based in Maine and several other northern nautical locales. The eponymous Luke Holden, a native Mainer, opened his first lobster joint in the East Village with business partner Ben Conniff and the chain has expanded steadily throughout the city, up and down the East Coast, and to Chicago.

BROOKLYN

Barrel & Fare, 494 Fourth Ave., Gowanus/Park Slope
Open Since: Oct. 8
Type of Cuisine: New American

The co-owners of TriBeCa Tap House have opened their first Brooklyn establishment with Barrel & Fare on the border of Gowanus and Park Slope. The “casual New American” menu includes ceviche tacos ($4 each), lobster risotto ($22), and a burger on ciabatta bread with sautéed onions, mushrooms and cheddar cheese ($16).

The restaurant is just a few blocks from the F train and co-owner Nick McKeon said he’s hoping commuters will stop in on their way home for $1 oysters and discounted cocktails during nightly happy hour that runs until 7 p.m.

Yaso Tangbao, 148 Lawrence St., Downtown Brooklyn
Open Since: Oct. 10
Type of Cuisine: Shanghai street food

You can now stop for Shanghai-style street food while walking home from Jay Street. Yaso Tangbao features soup dumplings, spicy soups and authentic snacks and salads.

Samurai Papa, 594 Lafayette Ave., Bedford-Stuyvesant
Soft Opening: Oct. 16, Grand Opening: Oct. 21
Type of Cuisine: Ramen

Popular Bushwick ramen shop Samurai Papa expands in Bed-Stuy with this standing-room only, no-tipping eatery. Sample a variety of pork buns, fried chicken, soba noodles, and specialty ramen. Owner Makoto Suzuki also plans on offering meatball bento boxes when the restaurant debuts its lunch service.   

► Pizza Moto, 338 Hamilton Ave., Red Hook
Open Since: Oct. 20
Type of Cuisine: Pizzeria

Pizza Moto is opening its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Red Hook on Tuesday with its signature Neapolitan-style pizza along with small- and large-plate options. General manager Anna Viertel previously told DNAinfo that the eatery is expected to serve beer, wine and a range of cocktails at the new space.

99 Rogers, 99 Rogers Ave., Crown Heights

Type of Cuisine: American/Gastropub

Though this casual sports bar has been serving suds since late summer, 99 Rogers’ kitchen recently started offering a full menu of the American bar food to make your day-drinking, football-watching experience even tastier. Never worry about missing your favorite team; the bar has NFL Sunday Ticket to make sure you can see every out-of-market game.

XM Cafe, 1040 Grand Concourse, Bronx

Type of Cuisine: Cafe food (coffee, pastries, sandwiches, etc.)

The Bronx Museum of the Arts opened up its long-awaited cafe in early September as a way to make the institution a more hospitable place for the neighborhood and encourage visitors to stay at the museum even if they get hungry or thirsty. The cafe serves up items like coffee, salads, sandwiches and pastries and is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is open from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Fridays.

QUEENS

Don Nico’s, 90-14 161st St., Jamaica
Open Since: September
Type of Cuisine: Mexican

This new restaurant serves Mexican cuisine with an Italian twist. The menu includes a number of traditional Mexican dishes, such as burritos, tacos, tortas, tamales and fajita platters, but also features several Italian items like bruschetta. The owner, Nicola Maurello, ran Pasticcio, an Italian restaurant in Murray Hill, for about 30 years, and also owns Don Nico's food kiosk in downtown Brooklyn.

► Wildfeast at Riis Park Beach Bazaar, 157 Rockaway Beach Blvd., Neponsit
Open Since: Oct. 10
Type of Cuisine: Seafood, specialty menu items

The popular summer hangout in Riis Park is staying open through the winter, with Wild Feast continuing to serve fresh seafood. The bar at the bazaar will also be open, and they will have TVs, fire pits and cozy details to help extend the season. The location has free parking and there will be events throughout the year.

The Pomeroy, 36-12 Ditmars Blvd., Astoria
Open Since: Oct. 6
Type of Cuisine: Seasonal New American

Chef Bo O'Connor, whose past gigs include cooking for her childhood friend Lady Gaga while on tour, helms the kitchen at this new bar and restaurant on Ditmars Boulevard. Her favorites on the menu include the fried chicken, which comes served with honey carrot and jalapeno herb dipping sauces, as well as a refreshing kale and Brussels sprouts salad.
