4 Signs Fall Is Coming to the City

By Emily Frost | August 24, 2015 7:32am

Is passing by wooly sweaters and thick pants on display in store windows at the height of August's humidity making you want to scream? Cold weather fashion isn't the only sign that fall is near that we've spotted:

Drug stores are advertising on-site flu shots.

Stores are now stocking seasonal beer.

One uptown resident spied a 12-pack of Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale at a Rite Aid on Broadway near 207th Street in Inwood in mid-August.

The sun is setting earlier.

Each day you have less and less time after work to frolic before the sun goes down. The sun sets at 7:41 p.m. Monday.
