MIDTOWN — Don’t mess with Spider-Man.
A person dressed as the superhero was captured on video punching and wrestling a man to the ground before putting him in a headlock in front of the Times Square Toys “R” Us on Tuesday afternoon.
Geoff Goldberg was walking through Times Square when he said he saw a man harassing several performers, including Spider-Man. The web-slinger then decided to stand up for his fellow crime fighters, Goldberg told DNAinfo, about filming the ensuing melee.

While the two grappled on the sidewalk at Broadway and 44th Street, onlookers can be heard yelling in the background, according to the video.
It's not the first time a costumed Spider-Man has gotten into trouble in Times Square.
Another web-headed menace dressed as the the superhero was arrested in 2014 for punching a police officer after demanding money from a passerby.
Police do not have a record of anyone getting arrested over the brawl, an NYPD spokesman said.
