NYPD Service Dog Conquers His Equinophobia

All relationships take work, including interspecies friendships.

This weekend, Nester, a service dog in training with the NYPD Transit Bureau, worked on overcoming his "fear of horses" with help from a friendly equine in the NYPD Mounted Unit. 

Nester and Freedom made lots of eye contact and sniffed one another. They may even have enjoyed some nuzzling.

We'll update this story as we learn more about Nester's role at the transit bureau.
