An explosion blew the doors off a longtime East Village dive last night — but there’s no need to worry.

The pyrotechnics and noise that came from the Horseshoe Bar on East Seventh Street near Tompkins Square Park were all part of filming for the new Netflix series “Jessica Jones,” which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, according to local blogs EV Grieve and Bedford + Bowery.

The show follows Jones as she opens a detective agency after her superhero career ends. "Jessica Jones" has been filming around the city and is expected to premiere online later this year.

A couple of “very serious young men” kept spectators at a safe distance and shushed them after they reacted audibly to the explosion, according to Bedford + Bowery.

The Horseshoe Bar — also known as 7B and Vazac’s, its original name when it opened in the 1930s — is no stranger to film crews. The dive was used as the location for the attempted strangulation of Frank Pentangeli in “The Godfather II” and has been featured on TV shows like “Law and Order,” according to its Facebook page.
