6 Women Broke Teen's Ankle in Fight at Botanic Garden Station: NYPD

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are looking for six women who picked a fight with a 16-year-old girl before breaking her ankle on a train platform in Crown Heights.

The assault happened about 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, on the platform of the Franklin Avenue shuttle train at the Botanic Garden station on Eastern Parkway, police said.

The six suspects started an argument with two young women who were walking behind them on the platform, officials said. The group then began punching and kicking one of the pair, a 16-year-old, whose ankle broke during the assault.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The police department released six photos of the suspects, all of whom are dressed in winter gear includings hoodies, headbands and puffy jackets.
