CORONA — The reward for information leading to the arrest of the gunman who killed a pregnant mother and her unborn child in LeFrak City has doubled after donations from a local mall and supermarket.
Food Bazaar Supermarkets has committed $4,000, and the Queens Center Mall agreed to donate $2,000 to help find Brandee-Anastasia Massey's killer, according to State Sen. Jose Peralta.
It brings the total to $12,000 with funding from the NYPD, Peralta and the LeFrak City management company.
Massey, 27, was shot twice near her apartment on the 15th floor at LeFrak City after dropping her kids off at school on Nov. 26, according to police.
She was six months pregnant and her baby later died at Elmhurst Hospital, officials said.
“This community has come together not just to mourn Brandee’s tragic loss, but to help bring justice to her family,” Peralta said.
The NYPD are still investigating the murder, and there were no updates Tuesday.
City Councilwoman Julissa Ferreras last week announced a fund to help support Massey's husband and their four children, who range in age from four to nine.
The fund aims to raise $20,000.
