Bronx Woman Found Dead in Man's Apartment, Police Say

THE BRONX — A woman was found dead Sunday evening in the Eastchester apartment of a man with whom she had an "intimate relationship," police said.

Alexis Beck, 48, was found unconscious in a rear bedroom of 723 E. 221 St., near White Plains Road, about 6:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Beck, who lived in Williamsbridge, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Christopher Coachman, 50, was arrested and charged with her murder and strangulation, police said.

Coachman has been arrested 15 times before on charges including criminal mischief and criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Information on his lawyer was not immediately available.
