THE BRONX — A motorcyclist died after crashing into a pole on the Cross Bronx Expressway early Sunday morning.

Corri Samuels, 35, drove a 2003 Suzuki GSX-R 100 southbound on the Expressway near the Harding Avenue exit in Throgs Neck when he lost control of his bike about 12:40 a.m., according to the NYPD.

Paramedics found Samuels, of Baychester, unconscious with severe neck and head trauma. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, a police spokesman said.

No other vehicles seemed to be involved in the fatal crash, police said. An investigation is ongoing.
