
EAST NEW YORK — Police are looking for two men suspected of attempting to rob an East New York apartment and shooting their own accomplice.
According to NYPD officials, three men barged into the apartment shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday night, carrying a gun. They assaulted the 35-year-old resident, and one of the suspects shot the gun, grazing another suspect in the torso.
Police said the two men fled the scene, leaving behind the one who had been shot. Officers arrested the injured suspect, Terrell Burkett, 20, and sent him to Brookdale Hospital, where he was treated and released.
