FAR ROCKAWAY — A 10-year-old girl was caught in the crossfire of two groups of men in Queens early Saturday, and police are still investigating the shootout, which left the child in the hospital, according to reports.

The victim, named as Briana Palmer, according to the NY Daily News, was leaving her home on Dix Avenue with four friends when two groups of men began firing on each other, the paper wrote.

The girl was grazed by a bullet that hit her in the hip, the paper reported, and the FDNY confirmed that she was rushed to Long Island Jewish Hospital with minor injuries.

Ray Kelly later told reporters that one person was in police custody but no charges had been filed as of Sunday afternoon.
