BAYCHESTER — A young man was struck and left for dead in the Bronx early Sunday morning after a livery driver, who later came forward, hit him, cops said.

The victim, who was clinging to life at Jacobi Hospital on Sunday, was a 19-year-old young man, was struck around 3:06 a.m. while walking on Baychester Avenue and Donzetti Place, an FDNY official said.

The driver fled the scene, cops said, and the victim was rushed to the hospital and still in critical condition on Sunday.

Police did not have much information about the incident, but said a livery cab driver turned himself in a few hours later and that charges were pending against the driver.
