NEW YORK CITY — A 61-year-old man died Wednesday night after a Nissan Sentra plowed into him in Allerton, cops said.

The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately released, was rushed to Jacobi Hospital after the sedan struck him near the intersection of Astor and Crueger avenues in The Bronx about 11:27 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The Nissan's 19-year-old driver was making a left turn when she hit Crueger as he crossed west on Astor, cops said.

The driver remained on the scene and was not immediately arrested, police said.
