THE BRONX — A Honda motorcyclist died Sunday night as he tried to overtake a Mercury sedan but lost control of his bike and fell off, cops said.
The motorcyclist, who was not immediately identified, was trying to pass the sedan while heading east on Pelham Parkway, near Matthews Avenue, when he clipped its mirror and tumbled off about 11:34 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The 39-year-old was rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Mercury's driver stayed on the scene and had not been charged as of Monday morning, cops said.
