ROCKAWAYS — It's a bit of Williamsburg, at the beach.

A large motel, bar and restaurant complex planned for the Rockaways this summer is looking to appeal to the city's hipper beach-goers, according to published reports.

Playland Motel, to open at 97-20 Rockaway Beach Blvd., will include 12 seasonal motel room rentals, three bars, two restaurants, a 7,000 square-foot indoor and outdoor bar and a boutique, according to nightlife website Société Perrier.

The development is the brainchild of four Brooklyn club and restaurant owners: Robin Scott and Jamie Wiseman of the Williamsburg nightclub Outpost, and Diagio Galazio and Eduardo Suarez of Spanish restaurant El Almacen and seafood eatery Rosarito's Fish Shack, the website reports.

According to an article in the New York Post, Playland Motel will include an upscale 50-seat restaurant called Playland Diner and a casual pizza place called Playland Pizza.

The whole complex will open within the next few weeks, the Post reports, after being delayed by flooding during Hurricane Sandy.
