NEW YORK CITY — A Bronx woman was attacked by a man who smashed her in the head with a brick on a residential street in Eastchester and then stole her iPod, cops said.

The 18-year-old woman was walking along Palmer Avenue near Tillotson Avenue about 9:30 p.m. on May 25 when the man attacked, according to police.

The bearded suspect grabbed the young woman's iPod and bolted, police said, but he was caught on surveillance tape walking away from the scene wearing a backpack and gray hoodie.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, police said.
