NEW YORK — A teen performer who was dancing in the Union Square subway station last week lured a pair of 14-year-old boys away from the crowd and stole an iPhone and cash from them, police said.

After the two victims watched the suspect dance inside the station about 2:50 p.m. Friday, he brought them to an abandoned part of the L train platform and took the iPhone and $30 in cash, the NYPD said.

He then told the boys to get on a train and fled.

Police described the suspect as a 17-to-19-year-old man, 5-foot-8, 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with white lettering and dark sweatpants.
