EAST NEW YORK — Flying glass cut a 52-year-old woman in the face after a student kicked out a window at an East New York school Tuesday afternoon, according to Department of Education officials and the FDNY.

Authorities raced to the school, Belmont Passages Academy at 619 Belmont Ave., about 2:50 p.m., officials said.

The victim, a staff member at the school, was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition, the FDNY said.

The student, who was not immediately identified, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, the DOE said.

Police did not immediately have information about the incident.
