High-Flying Tony Hawk Skateboarding Exhibit Rolling Into Queens Museum

QUEENS Put on a fresh layer of grip tape and prepare to shred: A new exhibit co-produced by skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is coming to the New York Hall of Science on Feb. 2 — complete with interactive exhibits like the "loop of death."

Making its East Coast premier after touring Berkeley and Las Vegas, "Tony Hawk | Rad Science" celebrates skateboarding culture and showcases the science behind the extreme sport.

The exhibition features special skateboarding workshops and demonstrations, including a stationary skateboard designed to test your balance while performing common tricks, and a "create-a-skate" session, where museum-goers can learn the science behind skateboard design.
